This comic was inspired by a conversation that I had with George Ford. We digs country music and we’re not ashamed of it! Some friends (who only listen to R&B and Hip Hop) think I’m weird. My question to them is why limit yourself to a couple genres of music when you can enjoy a variety? Makes me an interesting person if you asked me.

I love Dad’s expression in panel 3; he seems so amusingly self-satisfied at the fact.
I’ve always tried to live my life as if it was an action-comedy, so it’s great to know that aspects of it can also make for a funny comic strip, too. Good job, Michelle! I enjoyed the convo.
Thanks, George! I haven’t drawn my character Jon in a long time. Thought this would be a good time to use him. George, we need to talk more so I can get MORE ideas from you! j/k
Hate to say it, but I HATE
…country music (sorry, somehow I hit ‘Enter’ and it posted my comment early). I tried to learn to like it, but it never happened
Haha. It’s fine. What kind of music are you into?
Somehow Country music didn’t come up in your response to my guilty pleasure post George. What’s up with that?
I don’t feel the least bit guilty about Country, Bearman. I’ll bump some Brooks and Dunn in the Escalade at any given moment. The bass goes so well with the fiddles.
Joe’s dad (and Michelle, too) like country music. This is fantastic. Not only do I hook up with what I feel is our own little circle of webcartoonists, but we all seem to be into the same kind of music.
If you’ve been over to my site, you’ve probably figured out my musical tastes from the strips themselves, the latest one being a case in point. I know bluegrass and banjo music aren’t exactly country, but they are related.
BTW, Michelle – fantastic colouring on George’s strip today. Lovely work.
Thanks, John! I enjoy coloring. If I ever got a job in the animation world, I would be a Colorist. I wouldn’t have to worry about writing scripts or drawing!
I’ve been listening to country music eversince I was a kid. My mom is a huge Vince Gill fan. I’m not really into Bluegrass, but I don’t mind hearing it in some of today’s country music.
Country? Really Michelle? I would have taken you for more of a Judas Priest fan. lol. I have to admit it, I’ve seen just about every big named band from the 70′s, 80′s and 90′s live … and one of the best live shows I’ve ever seen was Garth Brooks!
Great strip as usual Michelle and kick ass job over at Addanac … George always colors outside of the lines! lol.
Garth Brooks puts on great shows. Believe it or not, when Garth had that alter ego going on by the name of Chris Gaines, I loved it. LOL
That Chris Gaines album was great, in my opinion. The only bluegrass I fool with is maybe Allison Krauss. She’s kinda neat.
Was up last night flipping channels and Manswers was on. They said the style of music that is most played in areas with the largest suicide rates is ……COUNTRY!!
Hey there, I found this site a few days back and read through the archives. I love your comics! Keep it up!
Thanks! Come back soon!
