Three things I love about this strip:
1) The colors! Those particular greens you used for the lawn are evocative.
2) Her big sneakers. For some reason, I’ve always gotten a kick out of small girl characters who have these enormous sneakers. It just looks funny.
3) That expression of scandalized shock—shock!—at being informed of the price tag attached to her moment of frolic.
Wow! Your black and whites look great even without the color. I can’t imagine how this is gonna look when it gets autumned up.
Thanks, George!
Whoa! After you applied the color, it looks even more phenomenal!
Unfortunately these days kids can’t jump in piles of leaves without a helmet.
LOL. Where are you when I’m actually thinking of what to write for my comic, Bearman? You make me laugh.
I agree with George, really great colors!
Thank you, David. I wanted to color with halftones, but I wasn’t liking it.
Gorgeous, Michelle! Great color, pacing, and I love the linework (especially the girl’s jumping hands)
I just feel sorry for her!
Thanks, Chris. You know, if your sons did this to you while you were raking, you’ll be upset too. lol
Aww, why do adults always have to spoil the fun?!
LOL! As a kid, I don’t think I played in leaves.
When I was a kid, you could barely make me go outside. I was always indoors drawing.
I stayed outside when I was a kid. Now, you can’t get me to go outside.
